At 4,000 miles the rear suspension ground clearance dropped to 8 inches. I replaced the stock 6 inch tender springs with Eibach 12 inch springs. I have 12 ¾ inches ground clearance now and will probably add a little more preload after around 500 miles of spring break in. The front ground clearance was 12 inches. I added another inch of preload and have 13 inches of ground clearance now.

I still have to set the cross over rings to prevent spring coil bind. The stock 6-inch springs had the cross over rings set ok from the factory. I was at cross over after the tender springs lost tension at 4,000 miles. It was ok for truck trail, but it sucked for desert riding. With the 12-inch tender springs I can set the cross over before coil bind or way before coil bind depending on what I need for low-speed wash board riding. My tires are nearly worn out so I will replace them with 30's for the desert riding this winter.

The Eibach part number is 1200-300-0200S. I set the preload at 2 1/2 inches to get 12 3/4 inches of ground clearance. The front springs had 1/2 inch of preload. I set it at 1 1/2 inches to get 13 inches of ground clearance. I reset the cross over rings, so the tender springs don't coil bind and have a little clearance. It will sway on sharp turns in normal mode. The sport mode reduces the sway by more than half. I use sport model on tight turns and in the high-speed whoops. The normal mode is amazing in the boney sections and washboard. I really didn't want the FLV shocks but I'm glad I got them and will replace my 2019 Talon R next year before I get to 50,000 miles with another Talon R with the FLV shocks.

Are you happy with the 300lb/in springs? Or would you have gone softer (250 or 275)?

I tried the 250 and way too soft. The 300 springs work great and still plenty soft. I use sport mode on high speed hard turns.

@hondabob Those Eibach springs are made of quality materials and won't "settle" much if at all. We only ever used Eibach and Hypercoil springs for our circle track chassis for that very reason.

I'm at 7,721 miles now and the springs are still ok. The Eibach spring kit was great on my 2020 Talon R.
@hondabob just to confirm, do you have the 200 lb spring or 300 lb, the part # is for 200? Looking to get new springs for my 1r4 LV likely this year.
