Got it nearly set up for my 50 to 200 mile solo rides. I need to install the 30’s next. The Kevlar tire may be the lightest 30 inch tire.

About 1/3 of the rides don’t have cell phone coverage. In the last 13 years my little Suzuki has saved me a 10 mile walk when my Yamaha Rhino broke and a 37 mile walk when my Polaris Ranger broke. When my RZR 570 broke I got a ride back to my truck both times.

I can remove 4 bolts to remove my spare tire frame and reinstall the passenger seat for the group rides. If my Talon is as good as my 2016 Pioneer 1000 it should be good for at least 40,000 miles. My Pioneer has 18,706 miles now. I just did a major service and inspection. It still runs like new in every way with $30.00 in repair parts a bit before 12,000 miles.

I'm using 4 front Talon X silver wheels. They are 6.5 inches wide and I will add wheel spacers in the back. Probably 1.5 wheel spacers. Aftermarket wheels are 7 inches wide so the front Honda wheels should work great. The slightly narrower wheel may pull the tire in a bit more protecting the side wall a little better. 11 inch wide tires on 7 inch wide wheels work great.

Been reading your 500 reports for a couple of years. I'm hoping for a 58 inch sport Talon next so it will in the back of my truck.

NO ! A 50" would be worthwhile . 58 would be a waste of Hondas efforts .Well not a waste because they would be building it just for you so that would be good . I would be in , in a flash if they made a 50" Talonette .

Honda needs a 50 inch sport model for $10,000 and with the long travel version at 58 inches, it would be a fun ride. The guys in California are stuck in the slow lane with a trailer at 55 mph. In some of the Eastern areas a narrow sport model may be poplar.

Talon X will fit in my truck bed or inside the motor home, already measured lol. I’ll be excited to see it in there someday soon;)
Absolutely can’t do the R and was hoping the X was going to be 60” because even the X will really struggle in certain areas here behind the pk1 but it’ll be more fun elsewhere!
It’s great to watch you guys getting a few miles on those rigs. Sure look sexy. Keep it up!

I just installed the Terrabyte Aramid 10x30x15's. Seems to be a lighter tire with the Kevlar and comes with 3/4" tread depth too. Looking forward to my first ride with them!
