P1000 3.5” loose spring?

I tried searching for it but I can’t find anything. Just brought this home last night and noticed this 3.5” small spring. I dumped the bed back and looked down in there and I can’t see where it would go? Any ideas? This is my first side by side so I’m not too familiar with them.

It's just a guess, go here and look in the fluxcapacitor .
Kind of looks like one of those springs.

P1000 - Rear Differential Adjustment

I agree, it looks like the sort of spring that would go on a cable. Might have been dropped and misplaced during assembly and the fumble-fingered worker just grabbed a replacement . . . don't be surprised if you find all the springs in place - you hope.

Thanks. I just checked that and the springs in there look identical to my random one. Everything looks fine in the box though.

Probably some sorry ass factory worker dropped it and left it for the new owner to find.

Looks like one of the springs from the diff cable adjust box. Im with @TripleB good help is hard to find these days.
also, good time to get rid of the G string skid plate while your in there and get a real one!

Yes I need to get a skid plate ordered. Can’t believe the stock one is that flimsy.

It doesn’t look new anymore after getting it out here to the lake.
