Yea curious about the talon I want to see one in person I'm sure there will be some talon owners on the forum as soon as their available. The big hold-up for me right now is waiting patiently on the Talon and just keep the little P5 for hunting, etc., and one for FUN, but who knows my Silverado may just drive me there in the morning anyway, LOL...
You would like a 700, the tranny alone was worth the upgrade in my opinion. I hated switching from my 500, but after having my 700-4 there is no going back.I’m a happy Pioneer 500 owner but I like the 700 quite well. Not thinking of changing or anything just trying to learn more about the pioneer lineup. Is there a difference in the standard transmission vs the deluxe transmission I know you get the auto and manual paddle shift but is that it? It’s just a three speed correct??
Great looking passengers you have there. There is nothing wrong with the M2, it’s just preference. I had the P5 first, then upgraded to the 700-4 so I could haul my wife, son and mother in law. Your advantage with the M2 is not having to worry about that extra roll cage and roof, driving a bus in the woods can be tiresome lol. As far a stigma, I think most people just go big when they buy a machine...same reason most of us don’t drive regular cab pickups anymore. It’s the convenience factor. Deluxe models are nice, if I had the chance to do it all over again I would probably buy the 1000-5 for more top end speed, I almost did but went with the 700-4 because of the overall width. These will be my only passengers. They loved the Rubicon but didn't like the tight seating and asked me to buy the M2, now they have asked me to build a ramp because the tail gate is kind of high to jump into and out of.

I’m not saying it’s better, they are two totally different machines. I like the smooth shifting of the 700 vs the 500, the gear ratio on the three speed is pretty well spot on in my opinion. I didn’t think my 500 shifted abnormally hard or anything but after switching to the 700 I realized the torque converter tranny was pretty awesome. The 700 also soaks up more rough terrain. I like my 700, I really liked my 500 as well...they both have a purpose for sure. Are you saying the 3 speed is better than the 5 speed in the P5? How is the gear ratio on these 3 speed tranny’s in the 700???
Pitiful! Don't ask how I know! HA!lThats why I bought a 7oo-4, so my dogs would have a roof over their heads also. Heck I even bought rear doors and back panel so we can all ride in a heated space in the cold months. Otherwise I would have bought a 2 seater
The 700 badly needs a low range. Are you saying the 3 speed is better than the 5 speed in the P5? How is the gear ratio on these 3 speed tranny’s in the 700???
You’re suppose to be in bed.Pitiful! Don't ask how I know! HA!l

I pre warned my wife, asked where the check book was and told her I was going to town to do something stupid, she's used to that, just not bring a P1-5 home, first thing she said was, that was stupid, can you take it back and how much are the payments, I replied $ 0.00, well that sent her over the edge. She wouldn't even look at it or talk to me for two weeks and when she did say anything she would refer to the S x S as my S x S. One day I came home from work and she was dragging all her tools, mulch and plants in a wheel barrow working in her flower beds, I went down got MY S x S and loaded all her stuff in it and helped her with the flower beds, next day came home and there set OUR S x S (now) with all her stuff in it, HA!Take it with you it will save a trip back. My wife don't like me going to dealer. I bought p5 and she didn't know till she got home.bought the 700 deluxe while she was I. Alaska now she makes sure I don't go alone.
Took a long nap! Been eating every thing with Vitamin C I can find in the house. You’re suppose to be in bed.
I don’t disagree with you at all, I think it depends on what you are using it for though. I feel like my 700 will do everything I need to do and has performed well so far. Having said that, I feel like the low range would greatly increase the capability of the 700 and even make it more popular. The 700 badly needs a low range.
As far as low range goes it's fine. Flip it to Manuel keep it in first wind it up it will go.just don't get to silly with the tires it's fine.
Me personally, I enjoy the 700’s tranny. I ride in the woods a lot and she likes hanging in first most of the time, up to 13 MPH. No shifting. I’ll hit the fields and maybe catch 3rd at 34 MPH. The automatic is nice for cruising, you kinda have to learn to the work the pedal with the 3-speed, though. I wouldn’t trade my seven hund for two Talons. I would trade for three.
