P1000 A little help with wheel offset from WOTF

Now that I've got the Fox QS3 shocks (and Viper springs) installed and will be installing the SuperATV high-clearance forward offset A-Arms (front and rear) next week on my 2021 P1K5 Deluxe in Phantom Camo, I think I've (almost) settled on a tire & wheel combo.

However, these wheels aren't listed as "4+3", "5+2", etc., and I'm not well versed with offset and backspacing, so I'm hoping the WOTF (wisdom of the forums) can lend a hand.

Wheel: Fuel Off-Road D777 Runner UTV 15x7 4x136/4x137 Bronze w/ Black Ring 10mm
Tire: Still between a few choices, but may be the Tusk Aramid Terrabite 10 Ply tire in 30x10x15

Going with the same size tire and wheel on all four corners.

On this wheel, I'm seeing the size and offset listed on this web site as 15"x7" and 10MM, and backspacing as 4.39".

However, I have no idea how that relates to the "4+3", "5+2", or "6+1" style/pattern of offset, so I'm wondering:

Q1. What offset do these equate to?
Q2. What size wheel spacers should I use (front and rear) in order to run all four corners the same?


Finally ... For a spare, I didn't necessarily plan on buying another (total of five) tire & wheel combo. I was just going to throw a 30" tire on one of my stock Deluxe front wheels OR on one of the steel front wheels I picked up last year from a guy who replaced his base model steel wheels with aftermarket wheels, but not sure if they even offer a 30" tall tire for a 12" diameter rim.

Q3. Anybody run a spare setup like that but have 15" wheels on the machine? If so, any real issues using it in a pinch?

👆👆👆👆👆👆👆👆 If I remember correctly front is stock is 1 + 6 and rear 2 + 5? They can tell you.

Found exactly what I was looking for on the RB3 Off Road website. +10MM offset is the same as 5+2 for a 7" wheel. Thanks,@RB3offroad!

So what size spacers for 15x7 5+2 all the way around?
Rears need to be double, remember the front is one inch narrower than the rear stock, unless you go with different off set wheels front to rear, I don't rotate tires, so no need to run the same off sets, just do it with different off set rims front to back. I do have the same size tires on front and rear, just different rim off sets. But I run really good tires.

I want to be able to rotate tires, so I plan on the exact same tires & wheels on all four corners.

I don't know what the OEM offsets are but if you plan to run the same wheel all the way around, I don't know if I agree with the math from the RB3 Chart.

7" wheel = 178mm
Centerline = 89mm (3.5")
+10 offset yields
Back edge to mounting = 99mm (3.9")
Front edge to mounting = 79mm (3.1")
I would call this a 4+3 wheel

See this example from MSA Wheels. Their typical UTV wheel offset uses the same +10mm offset as the Fuel example.

@Remington -Still the same widetrack bundle (1" front and 1.5" rear) with 4+3?

Just realized these are not beadlock wheels. May need to rethink. FML.

And neither come in 5+2. Only 4+3 (+10mm) or zero offset.

So, @Wisco-Tango, that means the offset on a 7" wide wheels would need to be (roughly) +38 to be a 5+2 then?

Unless you're the type to rock crawl or do aggressive riding with real low PSI I don't see the need for a true bead lock really 🤷‍♂️ if you really like your wheel choice I wouldn't go crazy over a different choice just cause it's a bead lock wheel. Also just a FIY....not all tires work well with bead lock wheels.....just something to consider as well when purchasing

I dont' know enough about wheel offset, but that's pretty far off - almost 1/2".

Wonder what the ratio of P1K's with beadlocks vs non-beadlocks is.
I would say that all really depends on terrain and riding habits. I've ran my tires (29") as low as 7 or 8 PSI riding in TN.....(RRB, TACKETT, ETC) and haven't had any issues with a tire popping off the bead🤞🙏. I usually run around 10 to 12 PSI but I've noticed them down in the 7 and 8 range from time to time.......my buddy runs bead locks (mainly just for the looks 🙄) and we ride pretty much all the same stuff without issues. Like I said, if YOU ride trails where you see the advantage and need for a bead lock then definitely get them, or if you just really like the looks and or just want to be able to say "yeah, them are are bead locks" 😂......if not, then 99% sure you'll be fine with either of your top 2 picks



Again, just my 2 worn down cents....

I was just going off the chart that was posted.....47mm ~ 5+2 offset.

I'm sure there's some wiggle room in there being that every (7" wide) wheel sold isn't really an exact 7" wide....or any other size for that matter. So the "5+2" offset is more of an approximate guid 🤷‍♂️

The good ol'......close enough!!! method I guess

I agree with @JenElio aka Jennay!
its all about what your running. I have Goldilocks (beadlocks) but Ive ben in some knurly $hit alot and the wheels I wanted just came that way. Beadlocks can be like a nagging wife when they want to leak and they dont stop so keep that in mind. Getting to know you and how you will most likely ride Id go WITHOUT the locks.
