After 2 years with the P5, I sold it Friday. Great machines for what they are, but I need something a little bigger and more capable. I was almost sold on a Wolverine, but after driving different machines at 2 dealerships today, I think I'm gonna go with a P1000. Now I just have to decide 3 or 5 seater. Only a $500 difference between the base model with EPS on the 3 or 5 seater, so probably go with the 5.

Plan on taking a day off this week and going to pick one out.

You can use 5 like a 3 but you'll always have room for 5

Almost certain I'll go with the 1k-5. I guess I need to decide on the base model with EPS or Deluxe. Only about $900 difference there.

Power steering is the only must have. The rest is totally up to you and how you are going to use it.

We need pictures!

I'll definatly add pics as soon as I get her home. And I'll never buy another machine without power steering!

I think the deluxe model should be the base model and Honda should offer Fox Shocks with and without the LE i4x4. The colored panels, power steering and paddle shifters are must have options

You are between a rock and a hard place! I have never owned a 500 but I really like them, size wise. Think you will like a P 1000, the width will take a little getting used to. If you ever do tires and wheels, you can order different wheel off sets front and rear to retain stock width and not run spacers.

Wanting to add a winch, front light bar, and rear cubes. Would I need to do a 2nd battery and or fuse block? I am an absolute novice at electrical. If someone could post a parts list of must haves, I will go ahead and start ordering parts.

The second battery isn’t necessarily a must but it is cheap insurance! I would do it again particularly if you think you’ll winch much! I’ll get on amazon when I get home and get you a parts list. What size light bar do you want? If you’re not going huge then you can get by with a fuse block instead of a relayed box.

Thank Josh, I appreciate it. Not sure what size exactly, probably one across the bottom of windshield like several here have.

I've been reading for the last two days about wiring, I think I've confused myself more than anything. Not that that's a hard thing to do.

@Bad_bowtie this is everything minus a 4gage set of jumper cables and and ends. Also, the only thing you may choose to do instead is a waterproof relayed fuse box,

considering you’re thinking about running a big light bar. I wouldn’t use relays if I didn’t have to on a high amp draw like a 52” 300 watt light bar. Check out @joeymt33 build thread and how he swapped out to smaller better cube lights from the light bar. Go that route and you don’t need the relays. For a switch panel @mystic1219 makes custom panels that are awesome. And you can use cheap switches from amazon OR I would have used otrattw switches if I were doing it again.

This might help you a little... also, @CumminsPusher sent me a pic of a wiring digram that helped a lot. But I can’t don’t the pic now.
