Hey @Adam490, what do you think about this combo for a crawler?
Lol looks like you're having funThis RC thing is stupid and I'm having a blast, you guys are cucking frarzy! HA!
It'll probably be fast. You can gear it down, but I've found that any of the standard/race ESC don't have the instant drag brake to the extent you'd want with a crawler. I ran a sensored 17.5 with the expo turned down so it would have a better low-end and it drove well. The thing that killed it was the lack of available drag brake.
Good idea on painting the extra lexan for practice. When we had the youngest son's Duster painted 15 years ago, we did it Viper Red and it came with a white base to make it pop. If I was smart, which I'm not, I should just send you the body and let you paint it!Also, make certain your first layer of paint is completely dry before you move on to the next color. Back light colors in white to make them pop, or you can use silver and give them a bit of a shine. If you've got any questions feel free to PM, I painted bodies for about 5 years when I was a poor college kid to get beer and R/C money.
What kind of battery?Sigh.... Still no battery. Got refunded for the one I bought on Amazon that's still floating around in USPS and the others must be on a rowboat from China. I'd just go to the hobby shop but they won't be open until Tuesday 🤬

They have a lot of drag brake when set properly. They still don't have the low speed control like this thing. If there is a castle crawler esc, I've never tried that one. I've driven all the Castle ESC, they always seemed really jumpy to me. May have been how they were programmed. With a castle esc you need the castle link to make the proper adjustments. It has the most adjustable drag brake out there
Cool crawling photos....poor execution on the evidence posting. 🤣 😂Pics of Smitty's Rock Ridge Run.View attachment 245303View attachment 245304View attachment 245305View attachment 245306View attachment 245303View attachment 245304View attachment 245305View attachment 245306View attachment 245307View attachment 245308View attachment 245303View attachment 245304View attachment 245305View attachment 245306View attachment 245307View attachment 245308View attachment 245309View attachment 245310View attachment 245311View attachment 245312View attachment 245313View attachment 245315View attachment 245317View attachment 245318View attachment 245319View attachment 245321View attachment 245303View attachment 245304View attachment 245303View attachment 245305View attachment 245306View attachment 245307View attachment 245308View attachment 245303View attachment 245304View attachment 245305View attachment 245306View attachment 245307View attachment 245308View attachment 245309View attachment 245303View attachment 245304View attachment 245303View attachment 245304View attachment 245305View attachment 245306View attachment 245307View attachment 245308View attachment 245309View attachment 245310View attachment 245311View attachment 245312View attachment 245313View attachment 245315View attachment 245317View attachment 245318View attachment 245319View attachment 245321

Google Chrome@Smitty335 we know you like pictures but good grief...........
You think you have a lot to learn, have you read some of my stupid post? Been doing some reading, starting to understand the highlights, build my own truck! HA!Yeah, I gots a lot to learn about these new batteries and kv motors.
Question' how do you drive two trucks at the same time?
The Swamper's are what came on my buggy, being new to RC Crawlers I was surprised how soft the tires are?Well, had to get new wheels and tires cuz I was in a hurry to run the truck and didn’t tighten the wheel nuts and sheared the pin slot for the rear hubs, end up getting a set of super swampers and bead lock wheels.View attachment 245164View attachment 245165View attachment 245167View attachment 245168
