Dad gum you @ Adam490! Well I did say $ 1,000.00 didn't I? What do you think about the running gear of the RTR? I need to figure out how to mount a Scout II body to one. Here you go

I appreciate all your help. I'm building an SCX10 1/10If you're just fiddling around in the yard the stock brushed setup in the RTR trucks will do just fine. If you're like me and can't leave anything alone, or your stock electronics crap out on you, brushless is the way to go. As long as you pick up one of the newer brushless systems that are designed for the crawlers. They sucked when there were only sensorless setups available because they had terrible low speed control (they'd cog and hesitate which led to a lot of heat build up and eventually failure). The sensored setups and newer FOC (field oriented control) systems are awesome. The Hobbywing Fusion FOC systems I have been running are the best I have ever used. Castle has a Mamba with FOC as well I believe but I'm not sure on the model or name of it (Slate maybe?).
Lower Kv brushless motors are a lot torquier than the higher Kv motors.
You need to get a C-channel trail truck. There aren't really any bodies for the "trucks" you have due to all of the articulation.Dad gum you @ Adam490! Well I did say $ 1,000.00 didn't I? What do you think about the running gear of the RTR? I need to figure out how to mount a Scout II body to one.

I'm hooked on the articulation, so I guess the Scout body goes out the window. The C-channel isn't true to scale Scout's, IH Scout's had a box frame. May try to find a Chevy truck body cut the poop out of it? What do you think about the running of the RTR ?You need to get a C-channel trail truck. The rtr RC4WD comp rig I posted? I've never seen or driven one. Most people that run those things at that level are using carbon fiber chassis with totally custom axles, shocks, offsets, etc. Some of them look like the axle will travel 180*I'm hooked on the articulation, so I guess the Scout body goes out the window. I watched a bunch of videos of them, very impressive. I'm ready for the TO! Bad news on the motor for the Losi, motors are out of stock? Looks good to me.Got the Enduro all finished up. Found some wheels that look similar to the TRD Pro wheels so I picked those up.

I'm still up in the air on the lines for the door gaps, hood, etc. It's growing on me.

I hear white is the fastest, is that true?Enduro is a great platform. Lot of bump steer out of the factory setup so I've been working on that. I used the stock servo horn because I'm an idiot and it stripped out about 10 minutes into my run so I put the 4Runner up for the day. Drilled some custom shock pistons for the Gatekeeper and it's a beast! Think I've got it where I want it on 1.9's. Going to mess with the 2.2's next week since my extensions came in.

Those Axe setups are supposed to be nice. Let us know what you think of it. I'm sold on the $150 fusion FOC setup. I ordered another this morning to replace the one I stole out of my kiddos truck@Adam490 Going to try out this one on my project. Hobbywing AXE 540L R2-FOC 2100kv
May have to rethink this RC Crawler thing, two down in 5 days. Anyone make a Smitty proof? Those Axe setups are supposed to be nice. Let us know what you think of it. I'm sold on the $150 fusion FOC setup. I ordered another this morning to replace the one I stole out of my kiddos truck
