Got to save my allowance for the TO trip! HA! Check out the RC 4WD Bully II MOA RTR! It's weird looking, I would have to put a body on it to cover up the weirdness, would need to find a body with 12.5" C to C wheel wells. Don't take this off the drawing board. Dang @Adam490!

That's a pretty bad design on that skid. That little ball stud is putting a lot of strain on that unsupported corner. I'd just epoxy it back if you can't get another one for a while. Epoxy it back in place and then epoxy a brace that goes under that whole thing. That motor probably gets hot and then weakened the plastic. Just use a piece of plastic or scrap aluminum if you've got it lying around and drill holes so you can still get the transmission screws out if need be.

It needs to be made of Aluminum or Steel, got one coming, it will be reenforced for sure. I've got my first stupid question for today, what are

this round things? Do I need them with the 55T?

They are there to reduce interference/noise. I never use them and cut them off because they are bulky, but they don't hurt anything.

They are more commonly found on the wire that runs from the ESC to the receiver, but with the 2.4ghz systems they aren't really necessary. In older crystal based systems, you could get interference and it would cause the vehicle to glitch.

They are noise filters used to reduce electrical interference to your receiver in your car.

Well Slow Poke Night Crawler lives again lives again, motor leads were too short so I had to go dig through the shop and find my 30 year old soldering gun and switch leads, took me longer to find it than solder it up. HA!

Glad you're back in action. It'll be even more of a slowpoke with that 55T in it 😁 . Probably just about the speed you need!

Got the Night Crawler going today, first time I've got to drive it with the 2.2 wheels and tires, had to wait for axel extensions and a new motor. Seems to work pretty well. Wish i knew more about this stuff! Been watching a lot of vids of rock crawling, seems as though the controller is the weak link?

Even though the 55T is slower, can you tell if it has more torque?
