Been wondering, if you go to aluminum steering servo arms, will you just tear up something else up, what's next? I've striped out three polymer servo arms now by slamming into 7 inch rock walls or jumping off rock ledges 18 inches tall?
Yes sir. Servos themselves can be stripped.

I refuse to grow up! Just look a the grip on the Axial Ripsaws on the front tire.View attachment 280939 View attachment 280940
This has become my favorite, not because it's the newest, the plat form works after I got wheels and tires and that's all i've done to it, it articulates really well, very controllable, body is big though. This is my first true 1/10 scale and I really like it, it's no Night Crawler though, the Night Crawler is a beast!

Well stoped at the hobby shop to pick up a bolt and to look at a RTR Deadbolt, well let the questions begin! HA!

Things are at a halt with the transmission, short some screws in bag # 4.
That sucks. Are you sure you didn't accidentally use them somewhere else? The instructions for that kit kind of suck with the screw length/size not to scale. I ended up using a caliper for all the damn 10/12mm ones that you can barely tell apart and sorted them. When you tighten up the transmission halves, make sure you don't overtighten it and bind it up.

I sorted out the screws and counted them before I started. Did you do the 6% or 12% on the front over drive? I'm taking my time so far! HA!

Which do you prefer?
I like the higher overdrive in the Enduro (Trailrunner) because it gives it more wheel speed up front and it helps with the smaller tires. I didn't care for it in the GK with the bigger tires so I went down to the 6%. Might take the OD out completely and give it a try next time I go play with the trucks.

What size tires did you settle on for the Gate Keeper? Bought my servo, ESC, motor, controller and receiver today, nothing fancy. $ 210.00 for everything + $ 4.00 for a 18 tooth spur gear. Sending the body off tomorrow to get painted to someone that feels sorry for a fat bald man that can't see any more! HA! This paint job is going to be killer, Smitty's Safari Wagon. Got to find someone that can make the sticker!

The JConcepts Landmines are awesome. I have the 4.72" overall on the gatekeeper and the 4.19" overall on the Trailrunner.

These are the 4.72" I'm running:

Ow my, my build is going to take awhile, after trying to do the transmission build, screws missing, axel build missing two screws, and after trying to to build the links, found I'm three links short, what the heck?

Are you sure you're not throwing pieces away? Lol! I've never had a kit missing screws over the 15+ years I've done it. Usually end up with extra pieces.

Nope use a big Tupperware container to put all the screws and smaller parts in. My BAD on the links, thought all of them were metal, not so! HA!
