Low Center of Gravity. There are a lot of aftermarket chassis' that let you mount everything lower. Team Garage Hacks makes some badass transfer cases and transmissions as well. I'm going to pick up one of their 2.low transmissions when they come back in stock and start on a Gspeed V3 Carbon Fiber build.

May have fried something in the SC24, I plugged the batt into the motor and the motor into the batt on the esc, it started smoking?

Uncle Ted has good tastes! Decided to take the Gatekeeper out, was crawling around and stoped to retrieve a beer from the garage, came back and dead in the water, ESC had rapid blinking light? So I decided to get the YOTA SCX 1/10 out, noticed the controller was acting weird, got it all trimmed out, crawling a long and the YOTA just takes off and gets tangled up in some Honeysuckle vines running wide open, before I could get it out, smoke. Fried the wires off the motor. Hasn't been a red letter day for RC for me? Any Ideas?

Just saw this. I don't know anything about the ESC you've got in the GK, but sounds like it either thermaled or it hit a low voltage cutoff. For the SCX, sounds like low voltage in the TX (bad/low batteries).

Voltage was good on the truck and transmitter batteries, sending it back in for repair. I think I would just like to up grade on my dime. Horizon is a pain in the butt now! I don't know enough yet to know what to order. Boy Vanquish has some nice axels!

Spend the money on a nice radio and a good ESC/motor combo. I've got that hobbywing brushless setup in 3 of my trucks and it's been great.

I've got the 1800kv in the GK and the 1200Kv in the Trailrunner. I'd go with the 1800kv for any future builds

Thanks Buddy! I actually found your post for the transmitter as well. Looks like for a little over $ 200.00 I'll be up and running. This looks pretty sweet!

Found a few minutes today to work on my UDR. Been super busy with work, the house and everything else this spring and summer. Ready to get back to some more riding and playing RC cars. A front axle and a couple rear shocks. Going back to the stock shocks with my blue faKing springs and

5some oil weight testing.
