Road one with it installed, it was nice and did dampen the kickback.

For me the biggest improvement IS the steering dampener. Sure it makes steering easier but it's not that bad while rolling, but the dampening effect is great.

the most inexpensive place you can buy them is on ebay , I called superatv themselves, I don't like to deal with the middle man if anything should happen. The folks that work there are all very helpful, I called them and told them I saw one on fleabay $540 and they took $40 off their price of $600 for me, I paid $560 straight from them, still better than $600 a little extra money is worth the piece of mind for me. Its supposed to rain here tomorrow, dam I might have to sqeeze the pioneer in the garage and get busy

For you guys that have installed them.
How long does it take, and what was your biggest issue (what took the longest)?

from what I've read the biggest problem is the instructions that come with it. Apparently fedx had a brain fart yesterday were unable to deliver mine yesterday so I'm hoping it will show today as I have no work going on today. If I get to put it in I'll get some pics.

OOps, didn't get any pics, but its in. If anyone is on the fence about power steering, by all means do it, preferably before you install your heater. As Noted by others, the instructions really are straight forward for the most part, except there is no mention of the heat deflector that has to be removed and trimmed in 2 places. First it needs to be cut to go around the mount bracket for the power steering, and the around a u joint on the lower steering shaft. Pretty much makes driving the pioneer like driving your car, I only drove it around the yard for a few minutes after the intall, but I plan on a little riding tomorrow on some boney arse trails so I'll see how it works then.

This is on my Christmas list for sure. For those that have had it installed for awhile, how would you rate the durability/reliability of the unit? Any problems come up?

Have had mine on since June no problems at all. Your also not limited to how you install the control box my buddy and I installed my control box standing up to give me more room. You will a BIG difference in 4 wheel dif lock mode.

I haven't been exactly easy on my Pioneer and the power steering has never failed. After almost a year of abuse I would still recommend it.

I had to relocate mine also, the heater needed to go where they want you to put the control box, I just made a mounting plate and drilled/ tapped the frame to mount it, I'm running out of room under the hood

I had something similar although after the third rewire(to add capacity and circuits) mine was a lot less clean. I did try NOT to drill anytime any frame members to reduce the amount of rust over time.
