I’ve seen the lightbars for years and years now and though they work great I’m over the look. I’ve always like the Baja/prerunner style light racks with the round lights so I decided to build myself one! Here are a few pics of the first prototype. And I’m honestly considering building a few to sell. I’m still working on material cost n such. But any feedback would be appreciated!!

Looks good. You might want to think about how the people with the flip up satv windshield could modify this to fit.

Definitely in consideration! I want to be able to offer adaptability to multiple variations.

I think it looks awesome! I agree with @Sowie about mounting brackets though. I recommend a mount that connects to the outside of the cage like a lot of the light bars use for use with a roof and windshield. I do wonder how this would effect the aesthetics of the light though. Nice work!

Definitely going to do some more studying and developing on that. I’ve looked at a few outter mounted brackets. I originally planned on running 8 lights across the whole front originally. I’ll definitely be focusing how to accommodate an outter mounter rack because there’s are far more full windshield machines than not. But I’ll have to get a pick of the light output it’s really incredible!

I really like it - looks awesome! I prefer round lights more than light bars any day, and I've been thinking about designing something like this for mine. Agree with the above comments about compatibility with flip-up windshields. Your design of keeping it at the same height of the roof is also good - that's a requirement for my ideas, too, because I can barely fit my stock P1k under my garage door.

Post feedback when you get the lights wired and turn 'em on for the first time at night. I'm curious if you'll get flood into the cab. I had an issue with flood light coming downward into my windshield and causing glare from the lights on my van roof rack (pics attached), so I took a set of light covers and cut ~1/4 bottoms and affixed them to the bottom of the light housings.

That thing is awesome!! I’ve not had it out at night much yet but have turned them on at night and the work amazingly! So no glare at all but I also have the half windshield. I believe with how forward the rack is set it won’t be an issue. I have been looking into a set of brackets that would have to be bolted the the cage but would accommodate a full windshield. Another thing with that is it will have to be a larger rack probably about 8 of these lights worth wide. Which honestly was my original plan so I’m actually about to order a tubing bender so I can really get the perfect angle and geometry that I want. So I will keep updated with MK2 of this!!
