The speaker has a weatherproof coating but it isnt waterproof/resistant. Time will tell.

Well that's not your face but...you should be fine with that as it's not a powered unit. Speakers can handle a good soaking, amplifiers can't. Pricey as hell but JL makes good sh**.

Using a JL Audio mini Marine amplifier M400/4. Installed just underneath the dash. Check it out.
