I recently purchased a set of STI HD beadlock wheels. When they mounted the tires on them they didn't run the bead lock ring all the way against the wheel. I'm running pitbull growlers that have an extra deep rim guard. There's about an 1/8 inch between the ring and wheel . Is this normal/correct? I know there's a few running beadlock @joeymt33 @PioneerPete @sharp .

Look on the instructions to find torque specs and make sure all of the bolts are at the same torque tightening down in a criss cross pattern. If it's holding air you should be fine.

Yeah, what sharp said.... get out the torque wrench and go around them. I probably had to do a tightening sequence 10 times per wheel to get them all where I wanted them.

Thanks to both of you for the info! I better check them because I saw him run them down with a 1/4 drive impact.

Well I broke down all my wheels, cleaned the beads and retorqed the bead ring..Glad I did because they weren't anywhere near what they were supposed to be. I noticed a few imperfections in the bead..These were used tires so that's was expected and I still have a few small leaks. Is any one useing tire sealant such as slime or quadboss. Going to order some regardless but curious if it would help seal the bead imperfections.

Slime has it's place (on the shelf at Tractor Supply).
For what you are trying to do consider a 'tire bead sealant' .
Google it, there are lots of choices.
You want the stuff that has to be ground shipped / is known to cause caner in Kalaifornia.
It's a petroleum based rubber - not really a glue.
It fills in the voids between the tire and the wheel.
