P1000 Bed extender

As for the bed extender, I had one on the P700 and now have one on the P1000. They are built to accommodate the slanted tailgate.

If you would like some pics or any other help on the install, let me know and I'll be glad to help.

I'd like to take you up on that. I bought the bed extender and a slip in the box says installation instructions are online..... But they aren't. The online instructions for the 700 makes it look like they use pretty much all the same parts. I've got an M5D. Will the 700 instructions get my job done? If not, pics or tips would be appreciated.

When I get back home Sunday or maybe Monday I'll get some more pics. I don't know why Honda doesn't post the instructions.

Delton I just put the tailgate down. Put my cooler up in. I use a ratchet strap and one of the nets. It never moves. I'm also gonna carry a spare tire right there. Who needs the bed extender? Ha

Yep, no need for the bed extender when you have ratchet straps and bungee cords!

Simple it's sold would've been ok but that wasn't even my question I was wondering what it was for to c the reason u was selling it so cheap figured u didn't like it for some reason... But never mind I don't care what it fits, I'm glad u sold it and took a $225 loss.

I'd like to have one as well but can't justify 300 bucks for one. I also have complained on here about the tailgate angle. Makes it rough on this old man climbing in there lol

Not that it is germane to the topic of the bed extender, but why on earth would you have to climb (over a tilted 6 " tailgate) in the bed of a P1K5 when you could open either side door, and access any portion of the bed at waist level?

Cause when I'm trying to stack hay (or anything else), I'd have to open door and then climb over whatever is in the bed. I was stepping up on a 5gal bucket to get in for a while, but the dang dog kept moving my bucket and I couldn't get down lol

Maybe that was what they were thinking when designing it). I just remembered last night I had those extended cables come in last week for tailgate.
