Hi everyone. I just put the deposit on a new 1000-3p but it only has twelve inch rims. My question is what is the best tire for all round riding for a 12? I originally wanted radial outlaws but they don't make them for 12s. What should I do?

I don't know about Saskatchewan but in tennessee you have to have 8 ply tires to be street legal

I'm a big fan of the original bighorns, not the 2.0's. With that said I'm currently trying a set of Roctanes out and for a stiff tire they seem to work pretty decent. I don't think they'll be as good all around as the bighorns though especially in sandy situations. But the Rocktanes seem to be great in the rocks and haven't been chunking at all.

I've always been a fan of the ITP Blackwater EVOs. Right now I'm running Roctanes though and they are pretty good too.

One note, my P1000 with 30" Roctanes and my buddy's P700 with 27" EVOs both attempted a steep hill. He could get further up the hill. Both vehicles in 4 wheel lock.

I had a set on my old P700 and they were great for an all around tire. I would have them again if they had a true 30". I just don't want to give up the ground clearance.

I know each will have and opinion on tires but I would like a tire with a smooth ride and low amount of road noise on my p1000. Not sure if I know of a good choice with those characteristics. My Honda ATV has Terracross tires , very good in snow and smooth. My Artic cat has mudlites, great in snow but definitely not smooth riding. You really need to look at how you will use the machine to pick the tire.

I like to do alittle of everything. I had a set of 30x10x14 radial outlaws on my John Deere gator 850i. They were heavy but smooth and great traction. How hard do you think it will be to find factory Honda 14 take offs? Then go with the 27 radial outlaw. Or anyone ever run outlaw mst on there sxs

I never liked these viewing online but seeing up close I liked them. These are Sedona Rip Saws. 28x10X14. They were mounted on a Ranger Crew. Image

I have been running a set of Maxis Ceros on my 700 have liked them for the type of riding for your 1000. We live in a little town and do a lot of pavement riding on our UTV. I have about 800 miles on them and can barely tell any wear on them. They do grip better on the pavement then the stock 700 tires, so I wish I had the turf mode, but I have been very pleased so far.

I have always been a fan of Roctane XD tires, running 26x9x12 on my P500 and 28x10x14 on my P1K. Where they excel is durability and rocks, do fine in typical trail riding mud as well as snow. Not excellent in mud or snow but good, I have never had a flat with them. I also ran 27x9x12 Roctane XD for a few thousand miles on a RZR800 before Honda came out with the P500 & P1K. So far happy with how they worked on all 3 machines of various weight and HP ranges.

I would have to agree with you on the snow. We made it a few miles up a mountain until we finally buried it in a 2 foot or more deep snow drift. I was really impressed with them in the snow.
