I have had STI Outback Max and Super ATV Intimidators on my two sxs's and I like them both for an aggressive directional tread and smooth handling. They would do well in your type of terrain.

I have been running a set of Maxis Ceros on my 700 have liked them for the type of riding for your 1000. We live in a little town and do a lot of pavement riding on our UTV. I have about 800 miles on them and can barely tell any wear on them. They do grip better on the pavement then the stock 700 tires, so I wish I had the turf mode, but I have been very pleased so far.
Thanks,
I checked them out and they do look good. I wasn't sure if they came in the correct sizes.

Hi everyone. I just put the deposit on a new 1000-3p but it only has twelve inch rims. My question is what is the best tire for all round riding for a 12? I originally wanted radial outlaws but they don't make them for 12s. What should I do?

Take a look at the MST by Highlifter. I was going to go with those till I bought a set of deluxe wheels and tires, then truck tires. I liked the tires on the steel wheels, Put almost 100 miles on them.

I almost bought the MST tires, but me riding on the road i just couldn't see getting them. They was in my top 3 tires for my 700.

Sedona Ripsaws have 26" tires for 12" wheels and I've good things about them. If they offered a 29 or 30" tires they would be my trail tires.

I've herd Zillas are a good all around tire. Not sure about the highway wear on them. Over all Big Horn Originals would probably be the best bet for the 12 inch wheels.

I was thinking of selling my Bighorns and deluxe rims when I install the Evos, but heck they ain't eating anything (as my ole pappy used to say). Never hurts to have backups.

My good friend and riding partner has the Outback Max. They perform very well. All of the Razors with 29.5 and 32" Terms are impressed with how well those tires tear through the mud.

ITP Mud Lite XTR, smooth riding on the trail, good in the mud and snow and a good grip on the rocks. Plus running the 27s on 12s should give you a little extra float in the mud.
