Any way to install larger brake rotors and calipers on the 1000?
🤔........I guess that would depend on how big of a wheel you can fit without rubbing....??Any way to install larger brake rotors and calipers on the 1000?
Why?Any way to install larger brake rotors and calipers on the 1000?
Why?
I think it is only a new compound of pads.I have heard a theory that the pioneer 1000-6 might have better braking and could potentially bolt to a 1000-5.
Slow down a little ? 🤷♂️I'm running 31" Buckshot Mudders and I can tell the high speed braking force is diminished a bit due to the added tire mass.
Prob a different metallic or ceramic material or supplier causing the change in part number for Identification purposesLooking at the images, it doesn't look like the pads got much bigger, but hard to tell...

If you’re gonna hit something, do it at full speed……”be a man”!!!Slow down a little ? 🤷♂️
HahaThat's what brakes are for. 🤣
Haha
just for reference, we go 35mph average on our trails and Ive had 30” LT’s heavier than utv tires and same brakes in 4k miles. Food for thought.
Roger that.Mine is street legal. I drive anywhere from 30 to 60 mph on the road. It's not the woods riding I'm concerned about.
Roger that.
Id say just drive the dam thing. Worry bout the brakes later. Your not gonna have the problems you think. With all the auto downshift or manual and decent you wont be on them as you think. I ride the roads to get to town at my cabin and Im hitting the brakes a short time before the stop sign with all that other stuff going on. Its not like a car or truck. So thats snowmobile trail and road riding
Another thing to note;
If you are planning on high speed stopping keep in mind you do not have any stability control like ABS. If you have to brake that hard for a sudden stop bigger/firmer/harder stopping brakes are just going to amplify the fact that these things stop like a lumber wagon from the 60s with no braking safeguards. If you have to stop that hard you will most likely have an uncontrollable event that will leave you sideways and flipped over if you aren't attempting to pump or slow the foot pedal down.
ABS is the debil, 🥵 learn how to drive the damn thing (whatever the hell it is).I've been an accident free driver for 50+ years. Drove vehicles many years before ABS was even invented. Been riding motorcycles, ATV's, longer than that, and side by sides for years. Also have had a defensive driving course. Thank you for the advice, but I know a little about driving.
