I just went in and compared part numbers for front and rear brake pads and caliper assemblies between a 2018 1000-5 and the 2023 1000-6.

For the front end, the caliper part numbers are the same, while the brake pad numbers are slightly different (HL8 vs HL4 in the middle set of characters.)

For the rear end, the caliper numbers are slightly different:

2018 1000-5 Caliper, RR: 43250-HL4-A01
2023 1000-6 Caliper, RR: 43250-HL8-A11

And the pads as well

2018 1000-5 pads, RR: 06432-HL4-A01
2023 1000-6 pads, RR: 06432-HL8-A11

Looking at the images, it doesn't look like the pads got much bigger, but hard to tell...

I’m on original pads at 7400kms. Had no choice to use my gears on the 04 Foreman with drum brakes full of mud. Good habit. Love those paddles!

Mine is street legal. I drive anywhere from 30 to 60 mph on the road. It's not the woods riding I'm concerned about.
Roger that.
Id say just drive the dam thing. Worry bout the brakes later. Your not gonna have the problems you think. With all the auto downshift or manual and decent you wont be on them as you think. I ride the roads to get to town at my cabin and Im hitting the brakes a short time before the stop sign with all that other stuff going on. Its not like a car or truck. So thats snowmobile trail and road riding ;)

Another thing to note;

If you are planning on high speed stopping keep in mind you do not have any stability control like ABS. If you have to brake that hard for a sudden stop bigger/firmer/harder stopping brakes are just going to amplify the fact that these things stop like a lumber wagon from the 60s with no braking safeguards. If you have to stop that hard you will most likely have an uncontrollable event that will leave you sideways and flipped over if you aren't attempting to pump or use a slow follow thru with the brake pedal down.

I've been an accident free driver for 50+ years. Drove vehicles many years before ABS was even invented. Been riding motorcycles, ATV's, longer than that, and side by sides for years. Also have had a defensive driving course. Thank you for the advice, but I know a little about driving. ;)
