I wanna ride guys! Was supposed to with Idahopioneer but the cold got me again. I really miss all of our riding stories here even you all have slowed a little. Seriously, when you rode with me up the rock hill one of fist times, we spent most of the time fighting off spiders and then we realized we had made it to the top. It was about as easy as those vids you just put up of Mary's ridge

Okay y'all bookmark (mentally) this post. Don't want to start a thread on subject but it's important to know. With a FI vehicle, sooner or later you will get a code on your display. I found out how to pull up the code history. No special tool required. In manual page 11-9. Find the DLC connector, remove dummy plug, and use a jumper wire to connect brown/red wire to green. (Green is always a ground on a Honda). Follow directions in manual. There's a certain procedure for when you jump the wires. Thought somebody might could use that one day. I'm gonna use it this week sometime to see what code mine has stored.

Yesterday was 2nd time I've been caught unprepared. I'm on a mission to not let there be a 3rd. There's no way to always be prepared, but no tools, no saw, and a disconnected ground wire for the winch?? Totally dumbass move. Serious here, no joking. Those are minor inconvenience on side of a busy street. Out in the woods or on the mountain? Not minor at all. I hereby promise to do better. Cause my stupidity affects others that are with me. Sorry guys.

It's all about living, learning and getting better every day! Like you said, being unprepared in the woods is a whole lot different than on a busy street! I'm slowly pulling stuff together and thinking about what I might need should "it" go sideways.

I think I pinballed off a dozen rocks yesterday. I'm done going sideways lmao. If anyone asks....I'm picking up trash and debris out of our yard and trimming trees along driveway (wink)

Ok I've GOT to stop for a little while at least. Gotta make some 4wheeler tracks in yard and at least pick up little bit of trash that got blown in by the wind. Plate for winch had to be a 2 piece but that's fine. Just as strong. Winch still fits in there nice and snug. I hate to stop when progress is being made but I like home cooked meals even more lmao. I'll be back asap.

Dang buddy that's one helluva idea!! I love this forum!! That'd be very handy. I sure could've used a chopped cage yesterday dodging all those trees. Not to mention lower center of gravity lol

I was considering some rock sliders later on down the road. But if I ride at Don's much (and I hope I do), I'd rather have the sliders on upper rops. I can't count how many times I rubbed against a tree with the side of my roof. Very thankful for the trees though. They come in handy when only 2 tires are touching lol
