New here and with 0 experience in buying a sxs. So far I've noticed dealers are just as scummy as car dealers. The only people willing to provide an otd price on the phone is Western Honda in Scottsdale AZ. They quoted me $20,320 on a 2024 with taxes included. An extra $700 if I want a Honda roof. Do you guys think there's any room for haggling? Should I keep looking or this as good as it gets?
I got a price for the same model from a dealer in CT of about a thousand more than what you were quoted in August of 24. I found a dealer in PA with a 1000-5 Forest edition with roof for $22,800. I went with the Forest edition for a little more as it had a few more features, didn’t show scratches had a factory winch and the I4WD I was curious about. I’d say that number isn’t bad at all. I did purchase in the last few days of August 24 to give you an idea of the time frame. 2025 wasn’t released yet and no more 24’s were able to be ordered so it was whatever was available. I hope that helps.

In Texas, just bought a 2025 1000-5 for $19,500 (even) out the door, including all taxes, fees, etc. This was the best deal I could find after reaching out to several dealers. Most were in the $20.2k to $20.6k range for a 24 leftover.

You paid 20,320 WITH the roof? They’re telling me that’s an extra $700 on top of the 20,320.
It is 700 for the roof if you pay for it. I would tell them to include it and don't back down. Be willing to walk. My bet is they will take. If they come back with a counter at a lower price take the counter if they throw in a windshield. Got to be willing to play their game better than them. IMO

Well… in the end the deal fell through with Western Honda. I want to make it street legal and to have turn signals (which are not required in AZ) and although the unit is at a good price, they’re were trying to double dip saying the street legal kit and the turn signal kit were separate and the parts/labor was around $2800 with a roof.

Went with Cochise Motors and was able to get a 2025 for less than the 2024 at Western Honda and their labor rate was much lower. Paying 20,400 for just the unit. 22,400 OTD with street legal kit, turn signals, hard roof and Super ATV windshield. Pretty happy.

Sounds like a score. You did good. Enjoy and let us know when you get it home and maybe snap a few photos especially of the turn signal kit. I’m considering it myself. Not required where I am but wouldn’t mind having it.

Will do. Picking it up Thursday as it’s quite a drive.

Good luck and enjoy your new toy. I’ve had mine for 7 months and only managed a 192 miles. Never enough hours in the day to get the things you need to get done so you can go riding. I might just start being an irresponsible adult for the next few months now the cold is gone and get out riding more often.

I hear you. I'm sure it will be the same in my case. I just sold a 2022 4Runner TRD Pro that only had 2,500 miles... in 3 years. Never found enough time to use it off-road. This is my consolation prize. Some would say quite a downgrade.
