P500 Buying my first P500

Ok so this is my first post and my first purchase of a side x side. I went into the local dealer thinking I wanted a new 4 wheeler. The smart salesman showed me the new Honda p500 and I was sold. I'm picking up my new red pioneer 500 on July 18 and I can't wait. Several questions for the experienced folks on here...

1. Tax, etc. out the door is $8998. Good deal?? Not including ANY accessories.

2. I want to add front bumper, rear bumper and hard top at a cost of $1100.

3. I am thinking of adding the Honda winch. It will cost about another $600. Do you guys/gals think its worth having the winch? Do you actually use the winch?

Let me clarify... I am mainly going to ride this around my neighborhood (woods/streets), my hunting land (800 acres with good roads) and an occasional trail ride in Alabama. I am not taking it in deep mud, deep water or crazy terrain.

My future purchases (soon) include bluetooth stereo, LED lights and a gun rack.

Thanks for any advice I can get from all of you.

Welcome to the club Jay! I don't have a 500 but my advise is hold off on a winch for now. the way you describe your land and riding style it can wait or at least start with a good set of tires 1st! Now if you get braver later on down the road and you do find your self stuck you will know right away if you want a winch or not. Just my 2 cents! I hope time fly's for you from now till the 18th .

Picking my p500 up next Satuday (7/18/2015). Talked to the dealer today. I'm getting front and rear bumpers, hard top and a winch (Warn 3000lb) w/synthetic rope. I'm looking forward to riding it with the wife and kids (not all at once. ha).

You are going to love it as long as you dont dune ride or think about motoxing with it lol dont look at my pic about 3-4ft is max jump ur getting but i love my pig aka p5

I got it and love it!! Wow it is so cool. Couldn't be prouder. Only put about 6 miles on it today driving kids around. Honda is heads and shoulders above the rest. They really know how to make a really awesome machine. Now to start figuring out what add-ons come first. Thanks!

Looks great. And to answer your first question, yes under 9k out the door is a good deal. At least I think so. I have heard closer to 10 from one buyer.
