I have been accused of being a little OCDVery nice work there Vintage47. But that garage is WAY too clean and organized lol.
Welcome to the club Vintage47. That's bad ass.
Love the color and the gloss. What is that paint?
I had it custom mixed at an auto paint store. It's Imron.
Wicked nice. You a carpenter or furniture maker, or just real good with a hobby? Reminds of the vintage tear drop camper trailer with that kitchen shelf in the back! I like the Mountain House, I use them when I'm backpacking, freeze dried sure has come a long ways since I was a kid.
Fabrication is a life long hobby. I think I like the building as much as the riding. My first career track was electronics and my second was air traffic control. I picked up the fiberglass and paint experience when I ran a charter business in Valdez AK.Wicked nice. You a carpenter or furniture maker, or just real good with a hobby? So the box is fibre glassed?Fabrication is a life long hobby. I think I like the building as much as the riding. My first career track was electronics and my second was air traffic control. I picked up the fiberglass and paint experience when I ran a charter business in Valdez AK.
Yes it has two layers of 8oz fiber and west system epoxy resin. So the box is fibre glassed?
Ok, perfect. I was going to be concerned about the effect of weather on it, but I see you've got this figured out. Great job.Yes it has two layers of 8oz fiber and west system epoxy resin.
Yes I made this mount out of two pieces of 1X1x 1/8 angle iron. But 1X2 X 1/8 channel would be easier and work better. Also some flat stock and 1/2" ready rod and 1/2 nuts. I mounted it with 1 1/2 x 5/16 U bolts to the ROP. I will consider a set of plans and bill of material. Thanks for the interest.Very impressive, got that US Army look! Consider some plans with measurements for a good cold weather garage project. All I did today was put a hook on the front and went riding. I think I need to start looking for a spare stock tire. Is that angle iron you made the tire mount with?
