CB Radio?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a compact or micro CB radio they are running in their rig? There are a lot of options out there but very few of them are waterproof. And from what I have read, it is "illegal" to use a marine radio from land!?! Looking for something stronger than the handhelds we are currently using. Any help or input is appreciated. Thanks gang...

Lots of us have used that tyt 8600 that jtw posted. I have one and it's been fantastic and at a great price. It will be extremely handy if you come to the takeover.

I wish there was a takeover event somewhere on the west coast. Perhaps there will be some day!!

Lots of us have used that tyt 8600 that jtw posted. I have one and it's been fantastic and at a great price. It will be extremely handy if you come to the takeover.

I wish I had a better answer for you but I have not put one in my Pio yet. I would assume you need to adjust the squelch on your radio though, if possible, to lose the static feedback.
