Got a couple important things today. Batt, filter and a better fit turbo elbow for the intercooler. Was cool buying things at a big truck store for my old pos. They treated me well at Cummins, gave better pricing then anyone. Wasn’t planning on buying a battery from them but hey it says Cummins and was cheaper😊

Also found some goods 300 miles away and thanks to our good friend @Tigermark i was able to get them before s*** sold and saved a trip for a bit. Much appreciated buddy.

Oh and just added 100hp. Red is the fastest so decided some bling for the turbo was needed. It was looking too dingy.

Boost controller just arrived. It’s only so “complicated” because it’s a second gen turbo on the truck. Finding out true boost number from factory is tough on these, some that attached a gauge said it had as little as 10 to as much as 18 pounds of boost. The automatics seem lower. I’ll dial this into 35 and call it a day. Not bad for 6$

Wasn’t going for looks but had a couple days drinking a few beers and well...Who knows maybe down the road I’ll add, drivetrain will hold in there so maybe. Had planned at least 850 with a quick spool and Im sure it’ll do that now.

Basically. Allows for slower wastegate opening by turning in the hex screw. This truck now has wastegate from second gen. Still nice and simple

I guess the waste gate will keep it from overboosting.

All doors and fenders now adjusted and inner fenders going in. They came off a wrecked truck and even though I bent them around before paint they are still proving to be a b****. But after those are fully in the fun stuff starts.

Negative, 1gens didn’t run 2. Never had any battery issues with a single on a 12 valve with decent battery. Duals just isn’t a concern

Not too much going on with the holidays here but figured I’d update. Also I’d previously posted this but figured I’d add it here because it’s part of the truck build.
Wednesday the truck tent collapsed with the weight of the heavy snow fall we received. It did break some stuff, add dents and scratches. Worst part was obviously messing up the tent and then all the snow in my tools but back up and running. Nothing a few zip ties and 2x4’s couldn’t handle.

And let the funny comments roll! Decided against the ugly ass old style Dodge bumper, don’t want it on this truck. So after a ton of looking at the aftermarket and then coming back to factory stuff then measuring it came down two two bumpers. Second Gen Dodge and Chev truck. However the Chev fits contour better, so 2007 GMC 3/4 ton is what’ll wrap the back. Got some work to do on brackets but no biggie

What it will be, actually matches the front bumper much better then stock. Just being held up so it’ll fit nicer. Much much better look in my eyes.
