With all the detail you put into it, it is almost a shame to use it.

Tonight’s project while the family watches Yellowstone is getting the rear harness all cleaned up. There were a whole bunch of spices in the harness from previous owners just like the rest of the wiring from my donor was.
lots of bad wires due to only using tape or crap wire connectors. Anywhere there was a connector I cut a foot of wire both ways and replace. Everything gets soldered and heat shrink then loomed. A couple bad light sockets as well. Gotta get this done for taillights, it’ll be actually legal to drive at that point. Long day already.

New wiper assembly, wipers windshield washer hoses and cowl panel all in. Wiper arms and washers trim coated. Everything works good and quiet.

Rest of today became a s***show big struggle. New bumper didn’t with brackets and everything I had was bent up so stole brackets from my other truck. Then found out rear frame section is different on the 85 then the newer 93. f***! Made custom brackets and altered the bumper a bit but it’s close. Hitch obviously went same way, however it is on. Both hitch and bumper were on/off on/off for hours.
Long frustrating day, got rained on and everything. Lots of cussing.Days like this makes it extremely hard to stay motivated and need a break. Only have 3 weekends till camping. Busting ass to make this happen

Loading up one of the donor trucks. One more thing gone from the driveway! This was the truck engine came out of. along with a few other parts. Made 1500 and kept the engine, not too bad lol.
Good start to the week

Back end of the truck is basically done. New taillights with led bulbs, new bumper and a good hitch. Went way overkill on hitch and bumper bolts with 22 3/4 gr8 bolts. Not going anywhere. Hitch and bumper also bolted together.
Tailgate is still untouched, I will get to that later on but it’s a driver for now. Got lucky finding that gate, it’s nearly perfect.

Oh and figure I’d mention that my trusty ol drill of 10 years finally smoked up. Have no idea of all it’s done but went out drilling the last of the 13/16” holes into the frame for the hitch. It served a very useful life. Used the jack to help drill press the holes and it just didn’t take it once more. RIP ol drill.

Just made my appointment, two weeks out till she gets the screws turned up “a bit” lol. Few things ordered. I’ve tuned these before but why not leave it to the best 12 valve guy around?
She’s going to run hard, might as well do it because the running gear is stout🤗

Got the markers front/back of both dually fenders. Also led. I had fiber glassed the additional holes it had prior to paint. Not factory ones but i think a lot better looking and much brighter.

Now can tow something. Not only is hitch in but trailer will now have lights. Finished getting the rear wiring harness all cleaned up and in.
used plug-n-play connection as to not f*** up the wiring once again like was previously done several times.

also ran the trailer plug through the rear bumper so it’s not hanging all crappy. More solid and won’t get messed up.
It does have charge wire going to alternator and backup lights hooked up as well. Be nice to have trailer backups.

I've been wondering the same, with all the money he has spent on his truck, I'm thinking existing rims painted to match his truck with pin striping and nice center hub caps would give it that retro look. But what do I know what CP has up his sleeve, bet it'll be nice!

Factory style simulators. It’s what the LE dually ran so it’ll look factory.
