Rut roe... You just need a boom hoist off the roof.Ran into a problem. Took it for test run and that thing bottoms out quick when crossing creeks or steep incline
At least I don't need my wife to load it for me like you do!Hmmm , with the deer size you get I would think a roof rack would be ok . roflmao

I like that!!I have folding rack from curt, similar to this https://www.amazon.com/Folding-Hitch-Cargo-Carrier-Basket/dp/B002M3AO68?tag=sxsweb24-20
works fine for me.
The bolt on or the slip in?I just use hitch adapter to accommodate 2"

Got ya.. I was worried that would put too much stress on the receiver and I liked the ideal of having the hitch higher.I bought this one
MaxxHaul 70032 1-1/4 inches to 2 inches Hitch Adaptor

Need to change that avatar to a chicken!!I not gonna put whole elk on it but mule or whitetail is fine.
Or maybe put the deer in one of those $60 glove boxes.Hmmm , with the deer size you get I would think a roof rack would be ok . roflmao
I use a gambrel and pulley hoist system and field dress vertically against a tree (keeps everything cleaner).
Have a line attached to top block, throw line over a limb on a tree, pull block up to limb, tie off around tree, attach lifting end to deer antlers (or neck if doe), Raise deer to vertical position.
When finished simply lift hind legs and set on back rack as you let out slack on the pulley system, easy 1 person solution, even easier with a helper.
