So when u make a mistake I don’t eat for a week. Nor do the kids.

I know thats right. If I ever question a bend I will try it with ERW before slapping a piece of DOM in the bender.

Man its like something wants me to build a cage or something. I ran across your work on Instagram and now here. I've got to quit looking at your pics....

I could get it cheaper through Oneal steel as a good friend of mine works there but its a hassle to order small quantities then arrange to pick it up. They would rather sell an 18 wheeler load to a supplier than individual.

Last .095 I bought was almost 40 bucks a stick. I still have 3 full sticks left to play with over the winter. I wanted to do one out of chromoly but that crap is over a buck an inch lmao. Guess I'm going with what I've got. I've been collecting ideas last few months. Building cages is alot of fun.

I'll have some bungs completed before too long. Have to use lathes at work and there's only one that'll handle 1.75" stock. And I have to wait til nightshift forgets to lock it up before I can use it lol.

Let me know if you sell any of them. Thats what put me off of the idea so far. I dont have the resource to machine them nor do I want to cut my factory ones.

I ain't decided if it's worth it or not yet. Very very time consuming. Turning down the ends is only part I can't do at home. Bought a micro mill few months ago so they give me a chance to play with it lol.

eBay has 1.75" bungs for a rzr for around 30 bucks for a pair. Wonder how much modding they need to work? That's dirt cheap.

I know this is an old post but did you ever find a cheap source? Just thought I was throw Besco out there. They are in Birmingham and the 1.75"x.95 DOM 22' is $63. Cheapest I've found around here.
Bought some 1.75 x 0.120 DOM from Ryerson in Bham a month ago for $3.09'. I do have an account with them though.

Metals Supermarket in Fairfield will sell it by the foot as well.

Got metal for my spare carrier on my 700 from there.

Yes I love Skag! I have their air/hydraulic conversion on my bender. Their stuff is built super tough. Definitely looking at their bottle jack mod for the roller. Also like their 4130 drive axle but I'd have to machine my dies for a keyway and that'd be a pita. If I can get a 6mm end mill I may get it.
