P1000 Delton's painfully slow build

Set preload on front shocks tonight after I got up from my late nap (way too many beers mowing the yard lol). Eye to eye is at 18" sitting on the ground. Went to town for more gas (and more beer). Nice to have my baby back on the road again.

What are your settings on your fronts? I installed mine and I am at C3 R5 all the way around. Rides way better!!

Mine are at C7 R10 but I've gotta reset them. My preload was nowhere near where it needed to be and that probably had them soft to start with.
I was hitting rocks and washouts at speed so they needed to be a little on stiff side.

From the control knobs to the bottom nut I am 3 3/4 ". What is your measurement?

I'll try and sneak out there to measure before I leave for work. Wife deserted me and the twins so I'm house bound at the moment. Craig Folmar told me to forget measuring threads. He told me to put eye to eye measurement approx 1" shorter than my limit straps which are 19" long. That's with rig sitting on ground

I'm impatient as hell so couldn't wait for the right ram balls to show up. Went out grabbed a rops clamp and made my own. I actually like where it is. Out of the way yet still convenient.

Thanks buddy. It was a 5 minute deal so nothing fancy. 6" piece of 2x1/8" flat bar. Put it in vise and twisted it with large crescent wrench lol. I'm digging that location up high.

Normally I keep business private especially on FB but y'all like family on this forum. I've been charging 170 with leg bracing, 150 without. But forum guys get bracing free so 150 a set. Come unpainted but does include latch hardware. Uses your latch.

I would say you hit it perfectly. If I ever get some spare time hahaha I want to do like a Highboy with a removable lexan upper

That would look very cool. Time is hard to come by these days lol. Got lots of ideas for new stuff but no time to build them.
