P1000 Delton's painfully slow build

Every time I solve a problem I create 5 more lol. This is the obvious mounting point. Very strong. It's also very in the way when dumping the bed. I don't care as I hardly ever use the dump. But I was hoping to make something several people would want to use. Frustrating.

What say ye concerning the mount? Not alot of options here. Take into consideration I don't really use the dump feature. Should I go ahead or keep looking? @CumminsPusher @joeymt33 @sharp @drfubar @moparornocar I respect y'all's opinions alot. There are more I just can't remember everyone lol. If I forgot your name overlook it. My memory sucks.

It was the supports wasn't it? They are supposed to hide in the background not try to compete with main rails lol. Those supports are 1.5". I have some 1" I think I'll use for final production. Still deciding on the mount.

I don't use the dump feature alot but I would want it funcionable if it were me. It's nice when you are cleaning it after a day at Bull run or if I want to check the oil.

Have you seen the one by strongmade.. Mounted like this but still removable with a pin.
So.. It will dump.

I've seen them but forgot about them to be honest. Those pictures are for the 3P but it'd work for the 5 also. Just slide the mount between rops and frame. Back to the drawing board. I'll be back with more samples shortly lol. Thanks Richard. See I knew I was asking the right guys!! Lol

Well that didn't take long. And I'm grinning like the Cheshire cat! Totally got a game plan now. Check out my mount. The way I turned it, itll work for either 3 or 5P. Plus you could mount any type/style bumper you want. Plus I see a whole line of attachments that would work (grill, seat, toilet, etc). I'm so stoked! Thanks so much Richard!! Done stoked a fire under this old man's arse (can you tell I'm excited??) Lmao. Now roll that beautiful bean footage....

Anything you can weld a stick of 1.5" square tubing to can be fitted to this mount. Flat bumpers, tube bumpers....anything you want.

I made sketch with all the pertinents. So if somebody wanted to make their own , they'd have measurements. I'm calling the mounts a success and going right to bumper making.

Looks good! You'll be glad you made a bumper that let's you dump the bed.
