I thought I saw someone with a Diamond Back cover.

Are you hauling a Pioneer on it?
If so how much does your Pioneer weight?

Looking at one instead of a flatbed on a SRW 1-Ton

Diamond Back just emailed me the “1600lb rating is strict and must be adhered to, it is to include your weight when loading any machine onto the cover”

So flatbed on a DRW it is.

Yes, the Diamondback is not all she is advertised to be. I'd bet you could reinforce it with 4x4s down to the bed and run the sxs on it if you have the length. If you didn't reinforce it it would crumble. The 1000-5s are 2000 lbs with accessories I'd bet

Would be nice to have a tailgate delete option that would leave the entire back open. It would fit then. But you couldn't have the tail light areas either. Wonder if you could put tail lights in the bumper?

A Diamond Back with SXS kit is $3500, A steel flat bed is $5000 installed then I have to offload or store the original bed.

I can get a 30’ gooseneck for $5600 or a 20’ bumperpull carhauler for $2000

A new 40k toy-hauler is @$250mo

I’m leaning toward the later two.

Bumper pull...you can almost get what you paid for them 5 or 10 years from now. The goosenecks don't seem to have the same resale value plus I have a bed cover so that eliminated the gooseneck. 14k 20' car hauler but had them build it like a landscape trailer with sides, upfront I had them leave a section out and use ramps as the sides so you could load quads or pallets of stuff if need be. I like the sides for strapping stuff down like extra supplies or coolers.

That new torque 371 looks pretty kick ass. I would get the fifth wheel toy hauler. You can do so much more with it. We love our and our family uses it probably 1-2 times a month for at least 8 months. That doesn’t count me using it for work functions if necessary, and using it as deer camp. I have it setup now and leave it for a month to come and go as I please. Remember the 30-40% off msrp when negotiating them though. Heck I bet @JACKAL would give you a deal on his!

I’d need a newer truck to pull his, tow rating isn’t there on the older ones I’m looking at. The F-450 he’s got is beastly.

There are so many choices out there it’s hard to figure out what fits needs/wants/tow rating/price range, need a quantum computer to run that spreadsheet.

We’d use it at the lake in the summer, mts in winter, misc rest of time. So it’d need to be multi use. Need room for kids, ext family, and stuff.

Mine don't fit a P1K due to 2nd full bathrooms in garage. One reason why I am wanting to sell it.

The front 24" of the 12' garage is only 62" wide.

Yup I have looked at a couple where getting a 1000 in is going to be tight and I may have to crawl out the bed.
