P1000 Does the high lifter 2.5" lift increase suspension travel?

My question is as the title states. My brain says in theory it seems like it would increase travel because it alters the shock angle to achieve lift. I thought that would make the control arms capable of moving further down from the chassis in a scenario where articulation is needed. Does anyone know if that may be true?
