Dragon21 submitted a new Garage Item:

Here We Go Again... 1000-5 This Time

Well, now that the 700-4 is gone and the 1000-5 is home. its time to get started on the build again. I really try to go slow and pace myself. however that doesnt always work that way. When i got it, it had roof and windshield as part of the deal.

Ordered a winch and mount, synthetic rope and fairlead for it, HL snorkel, Amazon switch plate, fuse box, 100amp disconnect.

still plan to get a honda front bumper, lightbars, and soundbar.. when money permits.

debating about dual battery setup... not sure if ill do that or not. I dont tend to use radio or lights when its not running.

Opted for the Yellowtop under the driver seat and kept this area open for relays and fuse panel! Also have battery disconnect in line!

Im following you brother. They love that Odyssey too much (167 bucks really?) The yellow top isn't much more money and is a true Marine battery. Just my opinion. Waiting on my bonus on the 9th.

Mighty max $49 and it fit nearly perfect. Yellow top takes up my tool and goodies storage under the seat. However I do agree 150 plus is too much for a mower battery

I have very few accessories to run. Will probably run winch off yellow top and leave everything else on main. I use winch alot on occasion lol.

You must have got one of the "toned down" ones.

Mine gave me 30 more horse power!

I'm running a blue top deep cycle battery under the seat. I just finished mounting it and wiring it in. I'll take some pics after work. I like having plenty of battery for winching and not having to worry about killing stock battery

Yea, i like the position there, just not a fan of the flexible hose look. and the intake being right next to the passenger head

This is my 1st SXS, so hopefully this question isn't dum but does a snokel increase engine/exhaust sound? Is is like upgrading piping out your truck?

Moves/directs intake noise.

There is intake noise but it's more difficult to hear. The snorkle move directs and sorta amplifies it if the end bells out like the end of a trumpet.

So it's gonna be loud in the cab area. The hood snorkle has a growl to it under throttle. Not noticeable with the windshield. But without it it there.

But I kinda like it.

I like that growl myself. Reminds me of the CAI I installed on my suburban. The behind the seat isn't that loud. It's even quieter with a prefilter (which I suggest, just don't oil it).
