So I have a 2017 Pioneer 500. While not listed on the compatibility chart, Dusty at Dynojet worked with me to get a tune for it. Flashed with no issues. The PV3 is really a plug and play product, once flashed you can simply unplug it and remove it if you wish. Just have to run 91 octane. He emailed me that they have removed the “master speed limiter switch”. I can’t wait to flash it and test it out, but I thought people would be interested to know. Dynojet has been a great company to work with. Well worth the money, can’t wait to test my P5 out on the trails next month.

I’m away from my P5 right now, but I plan to flash the update to remove the speed limiter later this week. I won’t be able to test top speed until a trip in mid-Sept on some open roads.

The only issue I have with Power Commander is the PV3 is locked to your machine, unless you want to pay $200 for every other machine you want to flash.

That and the older plug in ones always screwed something up.

I think that's one of the advantages of the PV vs the PC. It's all factory OEM except for the tune.

I totally understand each unit being locked into one machine. You sell one to a guy and he runs around flashing all his buddies machines...maybe even getting a little money for it. Bad business model.

Just wanted to update the post, speed limiter has definitely been removed. Hit 43 no problem yesterday on open roads and it still had more power and speed to give.

I'd like to know what it tops out at if you ever get to test it?

Topped out today at 44, that’s with a slight download at 7900 rpm. That’s as fast as it will go with my 26” bighorns.

Do the gear mod and you'll top 50 easy, mine will on the road. Engine & tune are still stock, just changed 2 gears on the final shaft. Details below in my signature.

@uconn411 any additional info? More mid range power, fuel consumption. Did you remove stock exhaust and cat converter, install intake?
Thanks in advance for any info.

Just to update this old post, the PV3 is well worth it. I have done about 400 miles with it now. Going up hills with my 26” Bighorns I could do a max is 26-28mph before. Now on hills, 38mph is max. Uses premium fuel, drinks slightly more fuel, but more power in all gears. I have stock air filter, no exhaust mods. This $400 tuner is well worth it.

Here are the benefits Dusty from Dynojet mentioned about the PV3:

Optimized fuel
Optimized timing
Raised rev limit
Lowered fan temp
Modified Shift Points
Master speed limiter switch OFF (top speed 44 with stock gears)
Tune is set to 8100rpm and stock is 7700rpm
