I’m getting ready to order a set of a-arm guards for my 700-4, while on the EMP site I noticed that they say they won’t fit my 2017. Does anyone know what changed? They say they fit 2014-2016 but not 2017. In addition, what brand do you guys run? Thanks

Interested in this as well.......
I found the reason they don’t fit, the lower a arm is different on the 2017’s. I’m not sure if I’m going to buy Honda oem now or something else.

Thanks for the info Russ......wondering if EMP plans on making an updated version for later models? My search continues as well, seems all have their +/-. Guessing something is better than nothing anyways.

I’ve looked high and low, for the price of them I guess I’m going to buy the Honda oem. Something is better than nothing.

Has anyone bought the Oem Honda guards? I’m looking on Rocky Mountain Atv and it’s saying one per box. If that’s the case and I’m going to spend $400, I’m probably going to order a nicer set.

I was wondering the same thing- Finally got an email back from EMP, they won't fit my 2018 700, and they don't have any in the works yet. Too bad, cause they looked better than the OEM ones.

Whatever you do, be careful of the guards that wrap up both sides. Keep them clean, because debris tears the CV joint boots up. My brother works at a Polaris dealership in Iowa and he spends a fair amount of time replacing axles. He says to be sure and clean the junk out.

Is there something wrong with the OEM guards like these, 08P72-HL3-600?
They look like they are side specific, so if they were 1 per box, there would be left and right part numbers.

That’s what I was thinking, they probably don’t want you to think they are front and back together. I’m going to live chat Rocky Mountain Atv Monday to confirm.

Yeah, rears are quite a bit more. But everyone says they are a must for any trail riding. So I guess I better pony up too.
A friend has a 700-4 and was driving his back to the barn, nothing extreme, just a leisurely drive, and a stick came right up through the factory skid plate (if that's what you want to call it) and through the floor board. Hit his heel so hard, he almost knee'd himself in the chin. Wasn't even that big a stick. So my next big purchase is a full skid plate.

I know. I bought this to help with farm chores. Everything I do with it, I was doing with my quad, so now I'm trying to get into a little off-roading to justify having it. So I'm dumping money into it to justify having it. Makes a lot of sense. We are a spoiled people.

I’m still working on finishing my dual battery setup so I can wire my light bars, I wish there was a good drop in so I didn’t have to put in a second battery.

I literally just finished mine. Other than dressing up wires with tape and loom anyway.

I’m still looking for a drop in that I can get by with, winch draw is my main concern since the 700 puts out 450 watts at the stator.

Update, for anyone with a 2017 and up P700, I contacted EMP about a-arm guards for our machines, as soon as I hear from them I’ll let you guys know what they say.
