Don't know if there is a thread already tapatalk search does not bring anything related to oil up.

What oil are you guys running? Are you guys running Syn , mix, or Dino? I just finished the break in and bought regular Dino oil.

I would say first two oil changes use Dino, then use synthetic from there on out. I use Honda synthetic, it really smoothed out shifting

I used lucas oil in the transfer case and differentials but my engine has nothing but Honda branded oil in it.

Yeah for the diffs and t-case I use Redline fluid with the adder for lockers in the pick up. Engine oil I use BG products MOA oil adder. This being my first sxs or single cylinder 4-stroke motor not sure if full syn or any other adders damage or help it.

Will using Honda Syn adversely affect the transmission clutches? So far, I'm just using Honda 10-30. Usually, integrated transmission/engine oil requires oil specific to that usage. My understanding is that Honda Syn 10-30 is for separate trans/engine crankcase. In the 700, they are together: correct?

I have been using Honda full synthetic 10w-30 for the last year or so (probably 3-4 oil changes) and I love it. No adverse affects actually makes the tranny shift smoother.

I've only changed mine once so far but after the 100 mi breakin service I went with Rotella T6 10w30. Seemed to shift a lot smoother and it runs cooler not noticeable on temp gauge but the fan don't kick on as much. I realize this could have been from it breaking in to but when I reach the 600mi mark I'll use T6 again.

Anybody use the amsoil 10w-40 synthetic atv/utv oil. If so what do you guys think? I mostly just run my 700 in the summer never use it in the winter to 10w-40 I would think should be fine right?

I use Amsoil but only 0W40 ATV/UTV. That is what Amsoil lists as an alternative for the 700.

Everything I have that has an engine has Amsoil in it.

Same here. After break in, I have run Amsoil 0W-40 full synthetic ATV/UTV oil. I use Amsoil in front and rear diffs also.

Me too and it could be my imagination but I thought it made less noise with the change.

I know when I switched to Honda syn after first change my engine got quieter also shifted smoother. Changed rear end to Mobil 1 syn and it also got quiet. I have used syn in every vehicle I have ever owned and I am a true believer.
