I don't have EPS and don't see any need to get it. I asked my wife if she wanted it and she said she doesn't need it either.
Michigan rail grade trails are an entirely different animal than what most of these guys are running. It is necessary in the rocks and ruts.

P500 EPS not an option, and so glad I added an aftermarket unit. 27 inch tires and tight trail riding. Worth the $600 to me for many future years of enjoyment. If the factory P1000 EPS is around $700 more, Not bad IMO. Guess it depends on your type of riding.

We don't ride in rocks, and we only ride the rail grade trails to get to the good trails which still aren't rocky, but are a challenge. My flaw with this post is I drifted into a P1000 forum. I'd likely be pro EPS on that hog. ;)

EPS, like many others options or mods that we do to these things, comes down to either price or your particular riding. Here in CO., our trails are rocky. We get snow. Add those two together and if you've ever hit a rock hidden under snow and had your handle bars or steering wheel try and make an immediate 180 while your holding on to it, you'll completely understand the advantage of EPS. Plowing snow with a non EPS quad or SxS is not fun either.
The biggest advantage is on an all day ride on rocky trails. At the end of the day, your arms aren't fatigued at all.

Coming from an 07 Rhino without to a 16 P1K-3 with the difference is night and day. Just say yes to power steering!

All of that is your fault, HA! My buddy has a 700, his EPS will be here this week, he wanted it since first day out.
