I've been thinking about getting one of those aftermarket exhaust tips for my Pioneer. The only reason I want one is for looks. My question is will it change how it runs ? I don't want to get a fuel programmer for it. My other question is how much louder would it be ? I had one on a Rubicon that didn't change the sound too much. I started my Pioneer this morning without the tip on and it didn't seem too much louder, but it was only idling. I didn't have time to ride it that way I don't want to make it much louder at all. Thanx for any input you may have on this.

I got one of those tips...but I pulled it off and went back to the stock tip and down pipe. It did give it a deeper sound, but it was just too loud for me. I could not see any benefit other than the nice look of the shiny tip. I didn't like the way the screws went in either...Not sure they would stay. I have heard of some of these tips just "falling off"... So , I am going to stay with the stock setup...It would make no improvement in performance that I can see.

Okay guys that's good to know. I wasn't expecting any performance gains I just like the look better. I think after hearing about your experience with them I will just large it alone. Thanx guys.

Yea mine fell off while driving down the road on a long stretch. It messed the threads up on my stock muffler. I liked the way it sounded but now I gotta fix my stock pipe or buy an aftermarket

Old thread but I just put my tip back on for a ride I'm going on. As far as a power difference goes there's not much of one but just enough in my opinion to say it's worth it. I just timed some 0-25 runs and it knocked about .7 seconds off with the aftermarket tip. Seeing I'm going on a mud ride this coming weekend any extra bottom end power is welcome. What I'm not sure about is if there's enough difference to warrant a programmer to richen it back up. As far as noise goes the only time I put the tip on is for rides like this. I'm not as excited for loud vehicles as I used to be lol

@Mrdelicious not sure if this is what you are looking for, but I have this one, direct bolt on with factory screws. Improves the “warble” sound, and looks better. Very small increase in throttle response. It doesn’t say it fits, but it fits perfectly.

or this one, comes with new bolts. easy install
Do those fit the 700 and 1000? I have one on my 1000 and I like the sound. It's not any louder but just slightly deeper.

I put the one that Tim 700 posted on my P1K5 and installed the stock tip from my 1000 on my 700 pioneer. I think they both sound better now and my Son says the 700 seems more responsive on the low end.
