Fast Pace Tackett Creek overland - Aug 25th - 27th.

Anyone interested in a fast pace ride through Tackett, Middlesboro, Jellico, or on around and back?
Aug 25th and 26th.
Maybe meet up Thursday evening as well?

Open to Sept. 1, labor day weekend as well.

I really need to keep it a small group of 3 to 5 max.
I only have 1 camp spot marked as a POI.
The others will be provisioned and we get tired of riding.

This will be more of an exploratory adventure.
Plan to push 200 miles for the trip if I can get 2 riders to join.
Pack at least 2 gallons of gas, We will hit a gas station.

For anyone not sure what an overland trip is.
We just camp trailside and bring all our needed food and whatnot.
And by trailside... I literary mean it may be the first open spot we find on the trail.
Not concerned if you've never done UTV camping. I can guide you.
I just need you to like fast pace riding and have a machine ready to run.

Sounds good. I’ll plan on Thurs-Sunday. Agree,a 3rd machine would be good for peace of mind.

I'm considering it. However, I work Thursday, the 4th and won't get home until about 8pm. Even if I was already loaded up and ready to pull out, it would still take me 5-6hr to get there. I wouldn't mind this, but I also don't want to hold you fellas up, not to mention bringing a p5.


I'll know more in a few days. Gotta find a sitter for the pup, see if I can dip out of work early, pull the p5 off the trailer (which is where it's been since TO) to see if it runs, etc.

When we did one of the overland adventures, we were in ky and set up camp in the dark, woke up and we set up right under a no camping sign lol

Vondy, Any issues parking at Reds Rzr Town. $5/day to park.
It would save off an hour from Brad's. But I'll also check with Brad too.
And be easy for GOAT to get to a camp.
Most likely the one near slate rock for Thursday night.
I havent ever camped there.

If I can find someplace to park the rig Thursday night (Reds?), I could just sleep in the truck instead trying to find you in the middle of the night while also having to setup camp. Then just meet up somewhere near you in the morning. Pick a known feature, and I'll be there. Whatever is easier.

If I end up being able to come, I’ll end up parking at our property on Stinking Creek ….which anyone is welcome to park at, weather I come or not. Just offering it up if that helps at all.
