P1000 Fox shock difference

Is there any difference in Fox shocks between a P1K-3 and a P1K-5 other than factory preload on the spring?

I'd say that would be a question for FOX but having looked at FOX on a 3 seater and and a 5 seater it appears that the spring is different on them.

I think it’s heavier on the front of a 3 seater, which if you have windshield winch and a lot of additional weight it might be beneficial.

FYI, I called Fox and they did not recommend it. They said the valveing and spring was different.

There is a pair of new front Fox's for a 1000-5 on ebay for 400.00 and she wants 150.00 for shipping and handling for a total of 550.00 which I thought was very reasonable even though the 150.00 is kinda high.

From experience selling on eBay people are more willing to pay 400/150 than 550/free shipping, makes NO sense. pretty good deal if they will work for you.

I honestly don't see that it would make that much difference.IMO a bumper,winch and dual battery setup would more than make up the difference in weight.

Honestly, I’d pay the extra $50 and buy from the Facebook dealer that most of us on here bought from.

Ok Just got them put the ball joints in on the new a arms and putting the Fox shocks on today. Oh yea the new tie rod too. Hope to be back out there soon.

I am in Mississippi and would have to pay tax so a set would cost me 1400.00. That would be 150.00 difference.

Shipping for four shocks was $ 77.00 from Canada to NW Arkansas

Shipping from her to me @70 lbs. because I had no idea on the weight, was 61.00.

Mine were 1399.00 no shipping they came from Honda shop in Arkansa ship to Arizona the ball joints came from Rocky Mountain dump asses, they are the stupids people!!! the a arms from superatv there kind of hard to get info out of. there not as dump ass as the Rocky mountain one!!!

eBay dings you the same as a seller its based on final price. I sold a TON more of the same thing by charging shipping vs giving free shipping. Final price was same, I don't understand the mentality of that. My thought is tell me what its gonna cost me if your giving me a good service I might pay a little more than the cheapest price I can find. Otherwise give me the final price and I'll make my decision based off of that number all other things being equal.

Well the seller just sent me a message saying they would take 480.00 shipped for the pair. There can't be that much difference from a 1000-5 to a 1000-3 can there? Some people are running other manufactures shocks on the front, surely these are closer. It would save me about 220.00 on the front and they are brand new.
Never mind they sold them while I was away.

How much are the Walker Evans? I really like my Elka's Stage 5's but after excise tax and local tax, I'll have close to $ 3000.00 in them. The Fox's would be a huge improvement over the stockers, but the way I understand it, they don't have rebound adjustments and one compression adjustment. I haven't checked the spec's on the Walkers, I need to do that. If the Walkers have rebound, high and low speed compression adjustments, I would look at them real hard, just to save the hassle with the tax men.

3k is crazy to me. Is it $1300 worth of improvement, yeah. But I just can’t see how it’s that much better with a limited travel utility machine.
