they have zero clue what they are doing and zero clue what they are telling you

good luck

fyi - every top end I’ve put together I slobbered the rings and cylinder with oil - it doesn’t cause a hesitation

Potentially bad PCM but what I don't understand is if it was the PCM from the beginning, I wouldn't think the head gasket or valve seals would have made it run alot better, when I say better, I mean it is functionally able to drive unlike when I brought it to them.

Maybe they bumped the bad injector wire while shooting the parts cannon or who knows what the PCM is doing if it’s flaking out - the Hondatech man knows his s***. 💩 since he Iives and breathes these Hondas every day

The invoice says they replaced valve seals, which typically only causes smoke at startup on cars.

The invoice doesn’t list any replaced valves, only valve seals.

But it also says that the hesitation will go away when the valves seat to the head. They didn’t replace the valves so they shouldn’t need “seated”. And if they did replace the valves, they should have been lapped in and seated as part of the repair process.

I’m not familiar with these engines so someone correct me if I’m off base here.

Not off base, engines an engine.

Hope there is some good faith from the dealer and some better diagnosis of the issue to get this machine back to square 1.

Would anyone be willing to pull there front coil spark plug boot from their machine while running to tell me what happens when they do? I'm just looking for a comparable diagnostic, I just went back and they assured me it was good, at this point I'm taking it back but I'm thinking I'm going to swap the injector plugs.

Your dealer is incompetent by my estimates.

It’s gonna drop a cylinder - no sparkie - no fun 😂.

It’s either not getting fuel - most likely - or no spark, either injector wires or pcm - lots of posts about pcm after dead battery issues 😬

Damn it. Well I'm going to swap the injector wires I bought two from the store here. I really hope it's not the PCM but that will be next...then the only thing left to swap is the tires. 😬
