Sounds like towing a parachute! Guess I need the wallet open with the 5.7 hemi. Can’t have fun for nothing.
I’m going to taking my tusk panel and windshield off when the weather warms up, I bet I’ll gain at least 3mpg.

I’m gonna remove my tail ramp gate on the trailer and bring my two aluminum ramps. Decrease in wind resistance and weight.
I wonder if an enclosed V hull trailer would get better mileage than my open one? What do you guys think?

It's all about weight versus wind resistance. Smaller and lighter is generally better. Bifolding ramp would help, but not as much as your plan of using removable ramps. Aluminum trailer would help. I fully enclose the cab which is probably better than just the windshield and open doors. From my experience driving 55-60mph versus my usual 70-73mph gains about 3-4 mpg. Towing with your camper only lowers the MPG.

I almost think the v-nose enclosed would be a touch better. When the weather warms up I’m pulling my windshields off to see how much I can gain.

Pulled the company cargo trailer last week, square nose, 7 x 12, 6' high, pulled like a dream and didn't even know it was back there. Pulled the new 7 x 12 v nose home empty on Saturday and could feel the wind pushing it around. That 7' interior height pushes it up in the air and doesn't help it cut through the wind.

That’s good to know, I wouldn’t expect that. I pull a 12’x77” with a drop down ramp, works well for me.
