Time to do the first maintenance oil change and from what I read a lot of you guys change the gear oil along with the motor oil to keep a track record. I’m new to the SxS game so I don’t really know what brand to use, was wondering if this brand is decent?

Sorry for the late reply.
Never used that brand so I can't comment.
80w-90 is what it calls for. Go heavier if you want to quiten it down a little bit.
But that didn't help my 2016 1000 tho. Still has loud gear wine.

I just put the Honda oil in it I have over 3000 Miles with no problem. For the drive shaft Honda oil comes in a small 8-ounce bottle very convenient for filling up your drive shaft. But I guess you could put anything you want in it other people do. I try not to make life complicated too many other things in life to deal with.

good idea to change it often I do my oil and diffs on my quads once or twice a year because water and mud over middle of the tire you always end up with some in there. seals are not perfect. I get the syn from Walmart or Valvoline. most of the store brands are made the same by the same place anyway and they have decent price. napa synthetic oils are pretty good and if you catch a sale decent price.

There are many options out there but would go with a major name brand. Regardless of major brand, you need hypoid gear oil. Hypoid gear oil is designed to meet the extreme pressure additives to prevent wear between the sliding surfaces of a hypoid gear system.

If your going to be running in a lot of mud and water I would recommend more frequent changes over a more expensive oil if budget is a concern. I've drained water out several times with no seal leaks and vented to my shoulder. Pretty metallic every time also as it seems most peoples are every time.
