Taking a trip to West Virginia to ride on the Hatfield and Mccoy trails. The wife and I will be headed down there in mid July. We have booked a cabin at the Twin Hollow campgrounds. Have looked up a few things we are going to try and see. Does anyone have any recommendations on things to look for? Comming from the hills o Pa to the hills of West Virginia.

We have that here in PA. Looking for something a little different. 🤣
Curious who you were replying to? I saw post #1 and 3, but no #2. Monty had me block, but I started seeing his post again a while back. Just wondering if there is someone else that blocked me ....... lol

I originally had the trip all planned out based on the trails I wanted to ride. The wife changed all those plans based on the places she wanted to eat at. Go figure. 🤣

I went years ago back in the 4 wheeler days. We got a cabin in Gilbert W.V and rode the 4 wheelers through the mountains to Mann W.V. We took the easy trails and there was plenty of places that made my butt pucker even on the easy trails. Of course we went in mid January so the trails were snow and ice, and we're from Florida. Had a ball. The trail head was right off of the main drag that goes through Gilbert. You could ride the 4 wheelers on the road no problem. We would drive them down to a little mom and pop breakfast house called 'Billy Maes' every morning and then hit the trails. It was fun. Have fun! Post pics if you go!

We were thinking about heading there too. I was wondering as an out of state rider am I allowed to ride on the roads around H&M without a WV license on my SxS?

Well, to ride the Hatfield and Mccoy trails you need to buy a permit. It's $50 per rider (for out of staters). You can ride on the roads from 7am to 11pm. The permit goes on the side of your helmet.

The areas with the black rings are polaris and can-am territory they don't wander far away from trail heads and repair shops the rest of map is for honda riders. Get away from trail heads and towns and its a blast

We got back from our trip on Wednesday. We stayed at Twin Hollow camp grounds in Gilbert WV. We had a great time. Saw a lot of historical sites. Also saw a few broke down Polaris rides. 😯 We would definitely go back.

We ran into several people from PA at Twin Hollow. 1 couple goes to WV every year and that is their favorite camp grounds. It's nice to just be off the grid. Although we do kinda live in the sticks here in PA. We live in Ridgway.
