I have 26X9X12/26X11X12s, and I see not tippiness at all.
Same, but I have ITP wheels with wider offset, 53" width. And anti sway bar removed.
I have 26X9X12/26X11X12s, and I see not tippiness at all.
With 26x9 and 26x11 I see no more tippiness at 8-10 psi than I did with the OEM. But I wouldn't say no tippiness as these P-5's are so by nature. I'd never use the rutted out gnarly trails that I do right now with 28's or 30's as I see some guys running. Then you need the 1.5 wheel extensions which then requires the fender flair extensions and eventually you should have just bought a 700 if that's what you really wanted.I'm getting ready to get some tires also, either bighorns or bearclaws. But will a taller tire make the machine more tippy than it already is or will the extra width offset that?
I just want to make sure I'm not going to fall over every time I'm in an off camber situation, which is a lot here in Indiana Anyway I want a taller tire and I'm going with new wheels, 5X2 offset. I have put 1 inch spacers on the rear but not on the front. I should still be around 53 inches or so and thats OK for me. The 700 is 60 inches. With 26x9 and 26x11 I see no more tippiness at 8-10 psi than I did with the OEM. But I wouldn't say no tippiness as these P-5's are so by nature. As you surely have already noticed, the P-5 is tippy by nature. Any attempts to make it higher without making it wider will increase that tippiness. At some point, one might as well buy a 700. I run my tires with lower psi to compensate, that's with 26's. I now know that I'd never run 28's or 30's as I see some do. I routinely get one or two wheels off the ground with the P-5, I've owned a PoPo for six years and that has never happened.I just want to make sure I'm not going to fall over every time I'm in an off camber situation, which is a lot here in Indiana Anyway I want a taller tire and I'm going with new wheels, 5X2 offset. .....Also lower your pressure to 6 , this will help more then anything else to prevent puncture.
Nope, you sure don't. I don't get it at 8 psi......
with psi at 6.......you don't get
the true height of tire...
How's it behave at speeds on gravel roads in turns?26" tusk trilobites. Knock off of big horn. They are 9 wide in front. 10 in back. I did add hub extenders. But best thing I did, was remove sway bar. Much more stable. Much. Not constantly on 3 wheels
There are hills in Indiana?I just want to make sure I'm not going to fall over every time I'm in an off camber situation, which is a lot here in Indiana Anyway I want a taller tire and I'm going with new wheels, 5X2 offset. I hear yaI dont care about height, for me comfort and less flat tires matter more. Too rocky where I ride.
My bearclaws are a touch over true height at 7psi. They do run big though.Nope, you sure don't. I don't get it at 8 psi.
Just a couple. You been to Redbird? There are hills in Indiana?
Yes, It seemed like a rutted mess when I was there. But, it has been a long time and I was on a quad.Just a couple. You been to Redbird?
