I hope your wrong, I can buy a Polaris RZR Turbo 1000 for $ 14,000 local. You can do a lot of maintenance for
$ 9,299.00

Actually if you are comparing street price to street price then the Polaris at $14k and a Talon X at $18K as I stated above, that's about $4700 difference not $9299.

I strongly suspect those considering trading something in (Pioneer or otherwise) on a Talon better prepare themselves for a LOW number and likewise, those capable of buying one outright will be paying near or full MSRP for a while. I'm on fence on "how much" I would be willing to spend on a toy like that (Talon or otherwise) and if 20K, then...….. I'm likely to sit tight and walkaway.

Just my .02 if they price them at 18, 19, 20k they will price themselves out of market at those prices you are in RZR highlifter territory, thats lifted, regeared, snorkeled/vented and a mudtire. I was off on my numbers 11k will get you into a 50in wide RZR 900, you can even get the 900 4 seater for under 20k.

15/16K will be the spot they need to be at 20+K predictions I will buy a RZR I was looking at a used highlifter 1000 14k last night.

I think they will price a little high and if they don't get the numbers they want....they can always offer rebates

True they could hit nice rebates by fall if sales plateau I have a feeling a few people will buy it regardless of price.

I'd love to see them $15k-$17k mark. But, realistically, I'd bet that with the i-4wd and high end suspension package, plus the hunger for this new machine by us Honda fanatics, MSRP will be very close to $20k if not over.

So...hope they sell a base-er model with stupid 4wd and lesser shocks for that 15K. Those that want bells and whistles can have them, and those that just want a Talon can get it.

Sounds spot on. Allen Knowels from CT Racing said he believes the Talon can probably take a YXZ in a drag race because of how the engine will build torque combined with the DCT will pull harder of the line. Would be interesting to see these match ups just for s***s n grins

YXZ has the Launch feature. It can leave the line at 11,500 RPM... Off idle would be close though.

Unlike the other models (Polaris, etc.) you can drive the Talon with two feet, so you can hold the brake and power launch it, you can't do that with popo or can am as the built in a delay to save the belts. So Talon doesn't have to launch from idle completely.

I'm sure honda will be watching this thread to factor how to price them, but if anyone can get more hp, more and/or better suspension, aftermarket support for what ever they want & better interior for less money, they will be a tough sale.

Yep. I’m figuring that 800 will cost 1500 but not more. Id want the x regardless but it won’t be much cheaper.

Everyone who has voted needs to get back on here and edit their before to the lowest choice. Matter a fact, cumminspusher who add a couple more even lower choices.

I'm sure Honda didn't release price because they wanted to gauge the market interest after the release. This is a perfect thread for them. What if Honda built this thing with a very doable msrp of 15k, but after seeing posts like this they think they can get 21,500... Well they won't be getting 21500 from me haha.
