Shop wants $300 to change a fuel pump not including Parts how hard is it how to replace the fuel pump in the P5? I looked online I couldn't find directions how to use or photos or where it even is yeah I know I should probably buy a shop manual what tapped out on other repairs it doesn't seem like it could be a complicated project I would buy the whole assembly. Any help would be appreciated

I wouldn't think it could be to hard. I think @nctrailboss has changed out one. You might reach out to him.

If I remember right, you remove the plastic under the seat like you need to when you change the oil filter. You can see the top of the tank and fuel pump. I can't remember exactly but I seem to think it appears to be fairly simple. Once you get access to the top of the fuel tank, you just unbolt the top flange, unhook wires, unhook fuel lines and the pump/sender assembly should just lift right out

I think you can get to it by removing the rear side cover, see attachment.
