Wondering if someone can answer this question before I have to dig deeper. When the key is turned on in the Pioneer 1000 the fuel pump runs for a couple seconds and shuts down. If you don't start the unit there is still a hum coming from the engine area. Anyone know what is making the noise?

Ok I got some feedback on this. Guess it is a transmission solenoid making the noise. 👍

Yes, the primary clutch solenoid hums fairly noticeably key-on, not cranked.

It may be the Bachman Turner Overdrive which runs on 17.5 watch batteries, it's used for the cloaking device and time travel. Just don't feed it after midnight!
