I just got into Colorado today

I just pulled into Denver today after a grueling 3 day gut wrenching drive from western NC. Hopefully I'll feel good enough to start doing some exploratory trail rides. So very excited to see the Rockies and snow covered peaks! I was hoping to get some reservations at Rocky Mountain NP but they're booked solid. I'm looking at Roosevelt or Arapaho national forest before heading over to rifle Colorado and white river national forest. Anybody feel like wheeling?

Give Taylor Park a look, there is a small campground at Tin Cup, CO 10,000 feet elevation with store, cafe, etc. From there you can ride all tbe way to Vail at top of mountainsnear the ski lift. I think the highest point is 12,800 ft elevation on the trail.

Man, I'd love to be there. I'm in Wyoming, and actually only about 70 miles from the Bighorns, but I haven't had the opportunity to go do anything that even resembles recreation for many many years. I think the last time I took my dirt bike up to the Bighorns to ride was about 17 years ago. And that was only for part of a day.
I've got a still brand spanking new 2015 Pioneer 500. It literally shows 1 mile I think ! I keep buying toys like that, even though I never get to use them. Kind of crazy for sure.

Up on the Roan Plateau outside of Rifle Colorado.
I went on a real heart pumping adventure today. I drove 73 miles in my Honda Pioneer 500 while exploring the Roan Cliffs in the White River NF and nearby BLM lands in western Colorado. Driving on the edges of cliffs I saw well over 10 Golden Eagles both big and small, but one was massive. I'm bummed I didn't always have a camera ready although I did lots of videography . I certainly won't be forgetting this day!
